In 1727, Ben Franklin himself, formed a group made up of individuals with an array of skills, education, and interests for mutual improvement. Almost 300 years later, the 92Y in New York City, following Franklin’s self-improvement model, revived his initiative through Ben Franklin Circles. The gatherings are centered around 13 virtues, such as frugality, justice, industry and humility, that he saw as the basis for being a better person/citizen. Indiana Humanities and the 92Y have asked us to become a pilot site! OPL accepted on behalf of our patrons, knowing that our community strives to improve our community and our world! We are looking for 10-20 people to come together for conversations, based on a different virtue each time, to find ways to implement a contagious effort of improvement in our homes, lives and community. Starting NEXT MONTH, Thursday July 13th at 6pm! JOIN OUR CIRCLE!
