For patrons of the Otterbein Public Library, there are multiple online services that supplement our physical collection, allowing for research and community support on the electronic level.
Social Media – Visit this page to find our social media links!
Evergreen Catalog – As part of the Evergreen Indiana Open Source Integrated Library System, we can offer patrons far more options for checking out material than we have on our own shelves. Patrons can browse the collections of every Evergreen library in the state of Indiana, and can check out items from those libraries’ collections, having them transited to Otterbein within a few short days.
OverDrive Media Console – The eIndiana Digital Consortium allows our library patrons to check out eBooks using the OverDrive system, making your reading even more convenient!
Accelerated Reader Bookfinder – “Searching for books with a corresponding Renaissance Accelerated Reader 360® quiz is easy with Accelerated Reader Bookfinder®. Students, teachers, parents, and librarians can search in English or Spanish using criteria such as ATOS book level or a Lexile™ measure, interest level, title, author, fiction/nonfiction, subject, award-winners, state lists, CCSS Exemplars, and more.”
Indiana SRCS – Many Libraries in the state of Indiana are now accessible through the Indiana State Library SRCS system! With this system, you can have access to the collections of some university libraries and other city libraries that are not within the Evergreen system. Ask your library staff about SRCS and we will be happy to register you and give you access to this wealth of information!
