Superheroes, Assemble!
Superhero Ball
Batman, Spider-Man, Thor, Captain America, The Flash, two of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Hulk, and even Thanos were seen at the Otterbein Public Library’s inaugural Superhero Ball on Saturday, September 21, 2019. The tough guys brought their moms and grandmas, dressed as Wonder Woman and Supergirl, to the library for a story, craft, and dancing. Fifty-five total kids and adults attended the mother-son event.
Thank you to everyone who came and donated, and made this event a super success!
Otterbein Halloween Bash
OPL and the Town of Otterbein are partnering together to bring you a family-friendly Halloween Bash on Saturday, October 26 at 5pm! Come dressed in costume for music, dancing, hot chocolate, games, costume parade, and more in Thompson Park & Downtown Otterbein!
OPL’s NerfNite
We’re the library you “otter” be in during fall break! Our patron-favorite NerfNite program is back on Friday, October 18 at 6pm. Nerf guns and darts will be provided. Ages 5+ Free to attend, but library programs run on donations from patrons like you!
Color Club
Starting October 4, all ages can join us every Friday between 11am and 6pm to color and de-stress from a long week. Every week we’ll have a different theme and medium available for coloring.
Open House & Centennial Celebration

Trick-or-Treat Rocket to the Moon
OPL is the library you “otter” trick-or-treat in! Take a turn through our life-size version of Disney’s 1956 board game “Tomorrowland Rocket to the Moon” during Otterbein’s town trick-or-treat night on Halloween! Toss a rocket (bean bag) at the moon (cornhole) and win candy or books! Free
