Notice to Taxpayers


Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the library known as Otterbein Public Library (the “Library”) that the Board of Trustees (the “Board”) will meet at _23 E. 1st St. _, Otterbein, Indiana, at the hour of _6:00__ p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) on October 12, 2021, to consider the following additional appropriation of the bonds which the Board has determined to issue.  The Board considers such additional appropriation necessary to meet the need existing at this time:

An appropriation in the amount of $1,370,000 and all premium and investment earnings thereon on account of the renovation of and improvements to the Library, including the construction of an addition and purchase of real estate, equipment and technology, including the incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in connection with said project.  The funds to meet such additional appropriation are to be provided by the sale of real estate to the Otterbein Public Library Building Corporation.

The foregoing appropriation is in addition to all appropriations provided for in the existing budget and tax levy, and a need for such appropriation exists by reason of the inadequacy of the present buildings to provide necessary library facilities in the Library.

Taxpayers of said Library appearing at said meeting shall have the right to be heard in respect to said additional appropriation.
